At my current company, RG Decor, I manage a family of 4 companies. One is an interior design & furniture store, one an outdoor furniture store, another a rug washing company, and the final is a carpet cleaning company. When I was hired, there was no clear brand identity for any of the brands. I created 4 identities to associate with their respective brand. This process included logo design, choosing colors, identifying fonts, and assigning what I like to call “vibes” of each brand. For example, the vibe we decided to follow for RG Decor, the interior design studio, was luxury, high-end, and boutique. However, since they are a family of companies, I tied similar elements into each brand such as a corresponding font or matching colors (in the case of the rug and carpet cleaning companies)
